The Measurement Special Interest Group (M-SIG) of the Institute of Measurement and Control (InstMC), invites you to join them at their in-person event, aiming to bring together people from all stages of their career, whether they are “measurement professionals” or simply would like to know more about why reliable, accurate measurement is so important.
In particular we will be discussing (a) the revision of ISO10012 “quality management – requirements for measurement management systems” (b) how the InstMC should help promote measurement as a career and (c) national recognition of measurement skills and techniques. Further, we will have an update on the National Metrology Skills Alliance (NMSA; a framework developed with InstMC to formally recognise training for Professional Metrologists) and on the Metrology Apprenticeship Standards.
It has been a long time since the M-SIG has met in person, and so we are looking forward to discussing these topics with you and refreshing our direction, while focussing on how best to meet the Institute’s Mission to advance “the science and application of measurement and control technology”.
Spaces must be reserved in advance; on a first-come first-served basis. To reserve a space please contact measurement.sig@members-instmc.org
