A Northampton school is hosting the county’s first ever teacher and business networking breakfast.
The Duston School will open its doors to local companies on Monday 6th January from 8am to 10.30am for business owners to meet with teachers and talk about how they can work together to provide more opportunities for the next generation of workers.
The event will include breakfast, structured networking and a tour of the Berrywood Road all through school, which teaches students from age 4 to 19.
Lead Practitioner Careers and Teacher of Business Studies Diane Fisher said: “By reaching out to the business community and introducing them to our teachers we are hoping to bring careers into the curriculum and create more opportunities for our students.
“Businesses and education should be working together and this is a chance for local businesses to really get involved in helping shape the next generation of business leaders.
“We want as many people as possible to attend and discuss how the working world can feed into the classroom.”
