Silverstone UTC is a centre of excellence for young people wanting to break into the specialist fields of High Performance Engineering, Business and Cyber-Security. Silverstone University Technical College (UTC) was one of the first UTCs to open in the country, as part of a government-funded programme to give those aged 14-19 unparalleled pathways into university and rewarding industry careers. UTCs combine the expertise of school leaders, university and employer partners to offer students a curriculum and facilities that schools cannot match. We are heavily over-subscribed at Year 10, as our students see the value of leaving a traditional schooling environment to study GCSEs, BTECs or A-Levels alongside industry-recognised qualifications focused on meeting the requirements of local and national employers as well as universities.
We are based in the very heart of British Motorsport, at the Silverstone racing grounds, in a stunning multi-million-pound facility. Students here are polite, committed and excited by their studies in an environment which has many of the structures and routines of a school accompanied by the most amazing opportunities for them to take part in world-class employer engagement. Many of our students go on to secure incredible opportunities for themselves with local and national employers who are themselves leaders in their fields.
