UK Export Finance is a government ministerial department and the nation’s export credit agency. It helps exporters access working capital and manage the risk of not getting paid by offering government guarantees.

We work alongside banks to support companies trading internationally. We operate across all sectors to maximise UK potential to export goods and services. Where an exporter is unable to secure bank support, our regional representatives (Export Finance Managers) look to signpost to alternative working capital solutions. As a department, we collaborate across other government departments to access all support available for SMEs. UK Export Finance’s mission is to ensure that no viable export fails for lack of finance. We provide a wide range of support in the form of government guarantees, extensive international trade knowledge and we work with a broad range of financial institutions.
