Description:
West Northamptonshire Council is the single unitary council responsible for providing a range of public services to residents and businesses in the areas of Daventry, Northampton and South Northamptonshire. It has replaced Daventry District Council, Northampton Borough Council and South Northamptonshire Council, and now delivers all the services which were previously provided by these councils.
These services include:
collection of your household waste
maintenance of parks and open spaces
street cleaning
environmental health
planning services
West Northamptonshire Council also delivers many of the services which were provided by Northamptonshire County Council, including Education, Highways, Adult Social Care and Libraries.
We have an annual gross budget of £917m (including our government school grant) which we use to deliver services to more than 400,000 residents and over 1 million visitors a year.
Our vision is to make West Northants a great place to live, work, visit and thrive.
We are determined to improve the life chances for everyone in West Northamptonshire. This means closing the gap for the most vulnerable members of our communities and ensuring everyone has the opportunity to realise their potential.
