The MSc Applied Data Science (Degree Apprenticeship) is a specialist master’s level (Level 7) integrated degree apprenticeship aligned to the Data Analytics Specialist specialism of the Level 7 Digital and Technology Solutions Specialist (Integrated Degree) apprenticeship standard (L7 DTSS).

The programme is designed to develop apprentices to become confident and competent data scientists who can lead, implement and deliver technological strategic solutions to achieve organisational goals in a range of different scenarios and sectors. A distinctive feature of the programme is the focus on inclusive leadership and innovation to train apprentices to be well-rounded and inspiring leaders in their respective organisations.

The programme is delivered via a hybrid delivery model, with weekly interactive online sessions, complemented by 2/3 on campus days, which makes the programme very accessible to anybody within England.

The next cohort starts in October 2025.
