Intelligence Analyst Apprenticeship (Level 4) | University of Buckingham

The programme is delivered via interactive online weekly sessions, complemented by 2/3 on-campus sessions, which makes it very accessible to employees based anywhere within England.

The Level 4 Intelligence Analyst Apprenticeship is a career-focused programme designed to develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours necessary for intelligence professionals. Through structured learning and hands-on experience, apprentices learn to analyse diverse data sources, identify patterns and trends, and produce high-quality intelligence reports that inform decision-making.

The programme covers key areas such as the intelligence cycle, legal protocols, and advanced analytical techniques, including geospatial and network analysis. Apprentices will also gain expertise in handling sensitive materials, adhering to legal frameworks, and employing emerging technologies to process intelligence data.

Throughout the 12-month taught component, participants will engage in modules focusing on intelligence methodologies, scenario-based training, and cutting-edge tools for analysis. The final 6 months include an End Point Assessment (EPA), where apprentices demonstrate their capabilities through a work-based project, presentations, and a professional interview.

As with all our Apprenticeships, this programme is funded through the apprenticeship levy, making it a cost-effective way to invest in your team’s development.
