Silverstone Technology Cluster CEO Pim van Baarsen believes businesses would be “well advised” to attend its second Innovation Series event with Amazon Web Services (AWS) which he also predicts will be an ‘eye-opener’ for the audience.
The event, ‘Navigating the Energy Crisis, will be hosted on Thursday 25 May by Cluster member Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence inside Silverstone Park’s Innovation Centre (Silverstone Park is an STC founding member).
Industry experts will highlight latest decarbonisation methods and demonstrate how energy-efficient processes can make net-zero (and energy saving) a reality for businesses.
Amongst the speakers will be Hannah Hassard, an Internet of Things (IoT) specialist with AWS.

Pim commented: “One of the reasons we are teaming with AWS is to really help our members and fellow cluster companies to engage with digitalisation, cloud computing and smart factory journey and make the best of what’s out there in terms of new technologies that can facilitate the smooth running of businesses.
“Our first event with AWS, which showed UK manufacturers how to transform their operations and start their smart factory journey, was very successful when listening to the feedback from the audience so I’m really excited by what this next event will offer.
“We’re very fortunate to have an industry sustainability partner like AWS which is at the forefront of technology.
“In my opinion, businesses would be well advised to attend as it will open their eyes to how technology can help them through the cost of energy crisis.”
