Earlier this month, our CEO, Pim van Baarsen, travelled to Modena in Italy as part of a UK delegation, which also included several STC Members, to take part in Motorsort Club 2024 – an event dedicated to the Advanced Engineering sector, which promotes cooperation between Italy and the UK. Also making the trip was Marcus Trofimov of Silverstone Composites, Phil Roper of Primo Engineering, and James Oliver of NS85 who launched the Italian version of the High Performance Coffee Club – an informal monthly gathering to inspire conversation between individuals in the high performance and advanced engineering sector.
The event organisers, Global Marketing Architecture, extended an invitation to Pim and Marcus to join the speaker panels. Pim joined the “Varano” panel which focused on leveraging motorsport expertise and aerospace and beyond. Marcus joined the “Imola” panel, which focused on cutting edge materials and production processes in motorsport.
Matteo Costariol, co-founder of Global Marketing Architecture, explained “Our aim is to start a dynamic conversation between the most influential markets in Europe, Italy and the UK, fueling innovation and taking the industry to new heights through collaboration and mutual exchange.”
The event brought together over 170 delegates from the two countries and representatives of 70 companies in the supply chain, presenting many opportunities for collaboration with members of the STC.
Pim commented, “At the heart of this event was our commitment to forging strong, lasting relationships between companies in the motorsport industry and we look forward to continuing to strengthen these relationships as we progress in the world of Advanced Engineering.”
“We’re particularly excited to announce that Global Marketing Architecture will be joining us at the Advanced Engineering Show this year, in the Innovation Zone, alongside 17 STC members. They will also be joining us at the informal STC dinner on the first day of the show, where we hope to entertain 60 or more guests.”
Only a few IZ exhibition spaces remain, so if any of our members would like to take advantage of this oppportunity to showcase their latest developments, please get in touch with joanne@silverstonetechnologycluster.com before they all get snapped up. You can also reserve a provisional seat at the dinner – please drop Jo an email if you would like more information.
“Sincere thanks to Matteo Costariol and Riccardo Paterni and all the team at GMA for being such excellent hosts. We look forward to returning the favour when they visit the UK in October.”
